Physical Benefits of Taekwondo
We all know that being active and getting fit is good for us, but what does that really mean? Staying active daily and moving our body is much more than just looking great on the outside, it also assists our insides as well! Through exercise we increase our circulation, therefore, we are strengthening our organs making our heart pump and breathing fresh air into our lungs. We are decreasing our blood sugar levels, thereby reducing our risk of disease.
Apart from improving our overall health, exercise makes us happy! When we exercise, we produce a hormone that makes us feel good. These endorphins can help turn a bad day into a good day, they clear your mind and give you the strength to see things in a better light.
For children, after a Taekwondo training session, they go home feeling great. Our parents report better attitudes, easier mealtimes and homework accomplishment. Action creates a reaction and when it comes to fitness, this is true. Your physical activity has got you moving and from there, you are more inclined to just keep on going, getting more jobs done with ease. This is the endorphins at work, aren’t they wonderful!
